YAC Meeting

YAC!! What is it? A teen volunteer group that meets every first Monday of the month at 4:30pm.
At the meetings you may be asked to:
Work on projects.
Make suggestions for the library to purchase.
Help plan teen programs.
Discuss what’s popular in teen books, magazines, music, and movies.
And more!

What else does this group do?
YAC members help run other library events (such as the library booth at CamTown, kid’s events, the Book Swaps, etc.).
You get dibs on special summer projects.
13 to 17 years of age.
You MUST have an email address that you check regularly.
Attend the monthly meetings when you can.
Read the YAC emails.
Sign up to help run other library events (such as the library booth at CamTown, Summer Reading Program events, etc.).
Recruit teens to the teen events!

What You Get Out of It:
Snacks at the meetings.
Find new friends that also love the library!
You can use the library as a reference for job and college applications.
Earn volunteer hours that can be used toward scholarship applications and service organizations, such as the Key Club and National Honor Society.
The warm fuzzy feeling you get for volunteering your time!
